You’re invited to join us in the Fair with your special offer! Download this participation form and email your completed form to info@visitfishermanswharf.com or fax to 415-673-2527 by Friday, March 27th.

Celebrate the first 2009 San Francisco Sunday Streets Event and Fitness, Health & Safety Fair on April 26, 2009. From 9:00am to 1:00pm City residents and visitors and their families will be able to bike, stroll and roll along The Embarcadero and head to Fisherman’s Wharf, the top destination in
San Francisco.

At Aquatic Park everyone will be able to enjoy and participate in the Fisherman’s Wharf’s Community Benefit District’s (FWCBD) Fitness, Health & Safety Fair from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Fair is free and open to the public. This fair will not only provide fun activities for children, but will be educational as well. The three components of the Fair include:

• Fitness. Children will be able to test their skills at the rock-climbing wall. Adults will learn the latest in exercise techniques from representatives of San Francisco Parks & Recreation Department as well as major health clubs in San Francisco.

• Health. Fair-goers will learn the latest information about sustainable foods and how to keep their mind and body whole. There will be exhibits and demonstrations that promote a healthy lifestyle.

• Safety. Since the 103rd anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fire occurs one week prior to this event, the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District’s PIERsafe committee will sponsor this segment of the Fair. Exhibits and events will focus on assisting San Francisco citizens and visitors to plan and protect themselves and their families in emergency situations. The fair will feature information booths from City and emergency services as well as private sector companies.

Fair visitors can take part in the following life-saving drills: extricating trapped victims, engaging in triage with the severely injured, extinguishing small fires, and identifying serious structural hazards.

There are two ways you can participate in the Fitness, Health & Safety Fair:

1. The FWCBD encourages our local businesses to offer a “Free for Kids” special. This offer would allow a child under the age of 12 years to be free of charge with a full paying adult. One child per full paying adult would be allowed a free meal at participating restaurants, a free admission to an attraction/tour and even possibly a free gift at a Fisherman’s Wharf souvenir shop with a predetermined minimum purchase. The FWCBD will provide poster(s) for merchants participating in the “Free for Kids” promotion to display in their business to advise our visitors that they are involved in the program. Participating businesses will also be advertised on the FWCBD’s website special build-out on www.visitfishermanswharf.com, the City’s “Sunday Streets” website (www.sundaystreetssf.com), press releases for both the Fisherman’s Wharf Fitness, Health & Safety Fair and “Sunday Streets” event, the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau’s website (www.onlyinsanfrancisco.com) and in local print advertisements. A link to your website can also be included with your promotion.

2. We also would like to promote any entertainment you may have at your business on April 26th on our website and other media promotional materials advertising the Fitness, Health & Safety Fair. Please send us information on the entertainment schedule to augment this event on the form below. If you need additional space, feel free to copy the form and return multiple pages.
