  Letter from the President
As Treasurer of the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District, it is my pleasure to present you
with an overview of the budget for the Land-side CBD, as well as to report the expected revenues
from the Port-side CBD.
Treasurer's Report
Committee Reports
Due to receiving our assessments late in the 2005 – 2006 fiscal year for the Land-side CBD, the CBD had
only two-months of operation during this period. This afforded the CBD a carry-over of over $340,000
to use in the following fiscal year.
  • 2006 - 2007 Land-side Assessment Payments

    • Members were billed $589,644
    • 53% of assessments received as of 12/06
    • CBD carried over $341,196 from the ’05 – ’06 fiscal year
    • Total ’06 – ’07 Land-side CBD = $930,844
  • 2007-2008 Port-side ANTICIPATED Payments of approximately $170,000

The Port-side CBD was formed in December of last year with a weighted vote of over 94% in favor of the creation of this District. With the unification of both the Land and Port-side CBD’s, our budget will grow by over $170,000 annually. Port-side CBD members will receive their first assessment billing this month. We thank our community for expressing their support of the Fisherman’s Wharf CBD with their financial commitments.

The CBD has engaged the services of Randall Development and Funding (RDAF) to seek out grant funding opportunities to augment the assessments received from members. The Interim Executive Board of Directors has instructed RDAF that our priorities for grants opportunities would included the following areas:

  • Grants Development and Funding
  • Bicycle Lane- Related Grants
  • Traffic Flow, Vehicular and Pedestrian Circulation, Clean Air
  • Pedestrian and Vehicular Signage, Static and Electronic
  • Police Funding – Enhancements, funds for radios, tools
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Sustainable Business, Small Business, Fish/Produce Market

The CBD has applied for the following grants as listed below. Our first grant request was denied, but that will not stop us in continuing our quest in maximizing funding for our community to support improvements and goals. We will apply for up to 10 grants this year.
